After 4 years of undergraduate studies, I am a B.Tech from IIT Madras. But today I feel my real goal is something else. As I cross Pachaiapas college, I feel a cool breeze whispering to my ear, "why did you not come here? you still have a chance to join us".
After all I have a simple goal: be powerful, rich and respected. Who other than politicians have all three. And mind you becoming a leading politician is not a simple job. You got to embezzle funds in so many different ways, commit a few perjuries and if need be kill be few people. In any case, all things happen for good.
You might wonder why I can't join politics now. Did you not see the poll results of Lok Paritran? I lack the very basic skills which Pachaiapa students learn and the way the environment grooms them to be the future rulers of the land while we IITians run away from here due to strict competition.
College riots, protests, student strikes, road blocks are many opportunities for individual students to make their mark. 5 fishermen chasing 500 IIT students out of the beach, exemplifies the fact we lack mettle to even work as Government servants leave alone ruling the country.
Every time a van packed with political party members crosses my bike, I wish if I was one of them. My lack of eloquence in tamil seems to be my main drop back. Now that I have shifted to a village, I see a new ray of hope. Where there is a will, there is a way.
P.S: I am expecting some cuppers to take this seriously and comment on my blog.
